Speechwriting for when you want to be impactful and remembered,
and you need help getting there.
My strengths are in emotional impact, speech structure, and synthesis (bringing many ideas into focus.)
Re: Talk Structure
Like a tree, a well-organized speech has a central trunk, secondary branches, and only then smaller twigs or leaves. Done well, this allows your audience to joyfully follow you as you make your case about your topic. (It also makes it easier to deliver.)
Re: Strategy
What are the outcomes you want to see from speaking, for yourself and your business?
Whether a keynote, workshop, TED-style or another format, make sure your message and ideas align with your goals.
Here's how it works:
1/ Ideation 2/ Structural Options 3/ Outlining
4/ Rough Draft 5/ Polished Draft
These are the five general stages of constructing a speech. I can help with all of them, just one, or a combination of a few. This depends on your preferences and strengths.
I often get asked how long the process takes, and I understand wanting a rough idea. Let's say that if it's given priority and a reasonable amount of time for creative back and forth, a new 45-minute speech can be completed in 6 weeks from start to finish. But let's discuss the specifics.
A note re: your voice
Another common question I get is 'can you make it sound like me?' The answer is definitely yes, however, this part doesn't happen like putting a quarter in a gum ball machine. We will collaborate. The best speeches are done in a combination of writing and reading out loud. This is to ensure the ideas come out of your mouth well!
By doing this, your voice will make itself known, and we'll make sure that gets captured.
