Hi Andrea,

This is among your very best pieces. Congratulations on the mended fences and reclaimed creative power. So very good to hear.

Our move two years ago - Toronto to cottage country - did much the same for me. It's also when - in the space I'd created by letting go - it dawned on me I didn't own my business and it was time to stop telling (or should I say force?!) it where to go and start listening to where it wanted to go.

And to what it needed from me.

That was also when over 7 years of research and study started to show us a picture of what we'd been sensing had a story to tell, when it started to make sense and put the pieces of our future into place.

That gave us a whole new sense of direction and focus (thank God - cause until that anxious uncertainty was much more the norm). We changed our business name, kept getting better at listening and haven't looked back since.

Uncertainty still a part of things, but anxiety? Not so much. Now there's curiosity and anticipation of what's coming next - even wonder. Who knew?

Thanks again Andrea. Enjoy your new home, and this new chapter.

Lissa

Hi Andrea,
Whilst understanding where you are coming from with on this subject I do feel a bit confused. As coaches we are encouraged to find our niche and therefore presumably "force our business in a certain direction". The coaching process focuses on setting goals and deciding on the steps necessary to achieve these goals and yet you advocate "trust and let go" and in your quote Thomas said he didn't know where Coachville would be in 2 years (and of course no one can know absolutely what the future holds) and yet we encourage others to set their goals for the future and work towards them.

I look forward to your comments - I do enjoy reading your e-newsletters!

Best wishes
Sybilla
