Absolutely it&#039;s nice to say you are published. However, since we all know that self-publishing is becoming more prevalent, saying you are published is not quite the distinction it used to be.

Of course it establishes you as an expert -- but there are a hundred other ways to do that that can be equally as compelling.

I agree with Andrea that we&#039;ll see fewer Amazon launches next year -- and perhaps fewer people believing that to be somebody, they have to write a book!
