ear.gifAfter many years of hearing second hand about Wayne Dyer, his books, his tapes, his meditation CD and so on, I enjoyed hearing him speak at the Telus Convention Centre here in Calgary last night.

I understand the fuss much better now.

He covered lots of great stuff in 3 and a half hours, all very congruent with the writing of the book, the new daily habits for happiness, and it was also just great to get out into the world with a room full of 800 like-minded people.

Which people, by the way, at Wayne’s behest, together collected over $5000 to donate to a woman in Manitoba whose car was stolen by the government. Long story, but beautiful. (If I find the link to the newspaper article, I’ll post it here.)

Needless to say, my favorite sound byte was this:

“All things being relative, what time does Munich stop at this train?”

And extrapolated, Wayne said he’s considering using this line to define relativity later this fall, when he accepts the Albert Einstein Award…

“All things being relative, for a bowl of soup…this is a lot of hair.”

(See his photo above, for the full effect.)

Who else knows and enjoys Wayne Dyer, and how has his work – relative to others – impacted your coaching?
