A Bit Sensitive: What Is Your Most Pressing Concern as a Coach?
by admin
Not sure how to proceed on this one.
In February, I took on a handful of new coaching clients. Because my business has been so busy with consulting projects (used to be 95%, now down to 40% and aiming for 20%) this is as active a ‘pure’ coaching practice as I’ve had, or intend to have. (I consider ‘part-time’ a full coaching practice.)
And even though it’s not that many people (six clients, all coaches soaking up the art/science of internet marketing) I’m noticing something that’s bothering me.
Will you give me your opinion?
As coaches we are all pretty sensitive. And what I’ve been sensing as I coach some of my new clients is — coaches don’t seem very happy right now. They seem disgruntled and beaten down.
Is this true?
Yesterday was “Promo” Day at CoachVille and there were a lot of active coaches out there, trying new things. And there are some great new programs to support a coach’s success, like Chris Barrow, the $0-60K program, and others. As I see coaches stepping up and living into their success, that’s exciting.
But is there an underlying current in the profession that no one is talking about? Some big emails have gone out recently about how coaches aren’t doing well financially.
Again though, that to me is just hearsay at this point. So let me ask you directly:
Are you concerned about things this year, as you go about your coaching, planning for the future? More so than in previous years?
This could definitely be just ‘me’, I don’t know. But I did a lot of ‘scanning the environment’ as GM of CoachVille, and I’m not usually too far off on these things.
Nevertheless, please tell me if I’m off base. I don’t want to create a problem where there isn’t one.
So would you do me a favor and click on the link below and give me your input on this?
Tell me the most pressing questions or concerns you have about your success as a coach this year. It’s a completely anonymous link, so your submission can be as intimate and personal as you’d like.
After you submit your question, I’ve set up an option to submit your email address, but that’s ONLY if you’d like me to let you know as soon as I have some insight to share. Again, only if you choose to, you can submit your email address, but it’s completely unrelated to your question. Feel free to be open about what’s on your mind, positive or not.
